Kim Jung-un, the youngest son of Kim Jong-Il, inheritied leadership of
North Korea after his father's death in December 2011. Since he took
power, he has replaced some 44% of the country's top officials, a move
seen as replacing his father's staff with a new set of aides that owe
loyalty to him. This summer Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao became
the highest ranking Chinese official to visit Pyongyang since Kim came to power.
