Profile
As head of the World Bank, Kim handouts more than $30 billion a year and
runs developmental programs in more than 100 countries. A medical
doctor with a PhD in anthropology, Kim is the first Bank leader who does
not come from a political or financial background: he was formerly
president of Dartmouth College. The World Bank recently announced plans
to slash administrative costs by $400 million, cutting jobs and reorganizing the bank's clunky structure.
