Vladimir Putin's former deputy chief of staff had a great year since landing the top job at Russian oil major Rosneft in May 2012, inking a sweet deal for BP's near half of energy giant TNK-BP and then buying out the remaining shares. Just like that, Sechin stepped out of the shadows (he's been called Putin's Shadow) and created one of the world's largest publicly traded oil companies by output. Of course Rosneft's major stockholder is the Kremlin.
